Lumen Printing
Lumen Printing is a photographic process which involves placing real-world objects onto a page of light-sensitive paper, and then exposing the page to the sunlight. The now recorded object becomes masked and mystified. Colors are determined by the type of paper, climate, and the object's chemical properties interacting with the paper.
Caffenol Processing
I learned this process from a workshop facilitated by Melanie King. Caffenol processing is a more eco-friendly and fun way to process black and white negative analog film. With this process, you can avoid using harmful chemicals that usually involve disposing silver lead into water systems, and also maybe tell a story with the coffee you use. Below is an instructional video I made on the process. Message me directly if you have questions or would like to process a roll together.
Cyanotype Printing
Cyanotype printing is similar to Lumen printing, in that it requires UV sunlight, but it involves painting light-sensitive emulsion onto paper. The paper that is not covered by the object turns a very powerful deep blue, leaving behind a white shadow of the object placed.
